Global Shipping Logistics, Sourcing, and Maritime Assurance

Global Trade Logistical Execution

We coordinate global maritime freight movements under strictly standardized International Commercial Terms (Incoterms 2020). Our primary trading modes are:

  • FOB (Free on Board): Our structural liability terminates sequentially once the containerized or bulk metal commodity passes over the vessel’s rail at our designated export terminal port.

  • CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): We manage ocean freight lines and fund maritime transport to your named destination discharge port.

Shipping Documentation Packages

Every cross-border shipping container leaves port with a comprehensive regulatory document suite designed to ensure fast customs clearings, including:

  • Master Bill of Lading (MBL)

  • Commercial Invoice & Certified Packing List

  • Government Certificate of Origin

  • Independent Metallurgical Assay and Weight Certificate (SGS)

  • Export Customs Declarations & Environmental Compliance Clearances

Regulatory Cargo Clearances

All containerized secondary metal scrap arrays—including compacted Used Beverage Can (UBC) blocks, heavy melting steel structures, and automotive cores—are sorted, cleansed of chemical contaminants, and loaded in compliance with the Basel Convention and global customs security guidelines to prevent import rejections.

Marine Insurance & Assurance Coverages

For all CIF trade lanes, AS Metals secures Marine Cargo Insurance covering 110% of the total commercial invoice value. This policy protects the transactional value against structural loss, maritime accident damage, or transit-related cargo destruction from the point of port departure until final terminal discharge at the destination port.
